Along with the new hardware I now have a tape-drive. I can't backup everything, so I excluded some ibays. To do so, I changed the file flexbackup.conf by means of the templates. I also installed the advanced backup restore panel.

Add excludes (copied from the forum but corrected some typo's):

# mkdir -p /etc/e-smith/templates-custom/etc/flexbackup.conf
# cp /etc/e-smith/templates/etc/flexbackup.conf/10Exclude_expr00 /etc/e-smith/templates-custom/etc/flexbackup.conf/10Exclude_expr00
# cd /etc/e-smith/templates-custom/sbin/e-smith/flexbackup.conf

Now edit the file 10Exclude_expr00 aan, I've excluded the ibays music and download:

$exclude_expr[0] = './home/e-smith/files/ibays/music/.*';
$exclude_expr[1] = './home/e-smith/files/ibays/download/.*';

If you play around with the excludes, you'll be able to exclude specific files. See flexbackup for this.

You can add multiple lines, just increment the number.
Apply the template:
# /sbin/e-smith/expand-template /etc/flexbackup.conf

The new panel wasn't perfect, some minor changes were made to correct the estimated amount of data to be backed up. I copied those parts from the original panel.
