At the frontpage (somewhere on the right hand side) a new block appeared: World Weather. By default this shows the weather for Deventer/Teuge ("Deventer" is misspelled bij MSNBC weather, the source of the weather data), and it is very much like my local weather as the airfield Teuge is less than 6 kilometers away. Click on the link for a fiveday forecast, or pick another town.

Yoy won't be able to see it, but something has changed. Something weird was going on with the samba part of my server. The firewall didn't do his thing, and it was caused by the template 35AllowPPTPInterfaces wich is executed at every re-configuration. It opened the complete dial-up connection, and I use that to connect to internet. I have changed the script and I'm looking around for a better tweak in another place. One advantage is that by now I have read the complete ipchains-howto so I might find other holes.

I have altered the pictures in the frontpage, making it 900 Kb smaller and thus faster.

A new type of vires has emerged, a cleverly built linux-worm, named Linux.Slapper.Worm. Have a look at Symantec of Cert for a full description.

This server is a potential target, but I had fixed the SSL-layer two weeks ago. The logs now show two attacks.

After waiting if something came up, I have zipped everything together and made a small howto.(borrowed and adjusted).

Using ADSL Log you are able to note how much traffic there has been on your internetconnection. This can bee seen in various graphical ways (have a look at my traffic for an example, or click at the left hand side on the module "ADSL Log").
It's nice to know how much internet traffic you have.
I have borrowed most of this from Bali, there is a download version available there also (version 1.0) , but it's not the same one you see in action on that website. My addjustments have made my version almost the same as the one that you see in action there.

It's easy adjustable to monitor the traffic on a specific networkinterface card.

It needs linux as operating system.
